We are looking for a Mid- to Senior-level Backend Developer with strong experience in Python to join our engineering team. In this role, you will help design and build scalable backend systems that power our compliance platform used by clients across the United States.

The ideal candidate has solid experience with modern backend development practices, is comfortable working with distributed systems, and prioritizes code quality, reliability, and testing. This role requires someone who can work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively within an agile development environment.

You will work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and other developers to design, implement, and maintain services that support our platform’s core functionality. Since the company operates in the United States, strong English communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
• Build scalable REST APIs and services that support distributed system architectures
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in Agile development processes using Scrum and Jira
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and engineers
• Review code and contribute to improving engineering standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues when needed
• Work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team
