The 1Password Cloud Platform Engineering team is responsible for building, observing and maintaining all of 1Passwords infrastructure. This team sits at the intersection of nearly every tool, application and service that we use in order to build a great customer experience. As an Engineering Manager you will be working closely with a team of Engineers to support 1Passwords current infrastructure , while also building the infrastructure and tools needed to scale 1Passwords future growth.
For this role, you can be located within the US or Canada, and will be expected to be fully remote.

What we're looking for:

• Extensive leadership experience in managing a team of engineers over several years
• Profound expertise in cloud native infrastructure and technologies. While coding skills are not required, the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts is essential to facilitate resolution of complex issues.
• A talent for fostering a positive and supportive team environment that encourages everyone to excel and take on meaningful challenges.
• Proven track record in project delivery and adeptness in devising future roadmaps.
• Demonstrated success in scaling both teams and the services they oversee.

What you can expect:

• Contributing to the strategic direction and support of the Cloud Platform Engineering team.
• Aligning and driving the team's efforts to achieve company-wide objectives.
• Collaborating with senior individual contributors to establish a compelling technical vision for your team.
• Working alongside cross-functional partners to design optimal solutions for internal and external customers.
• Planning and scoping key deliverables for projects and initiatives in collaboration with the team.
• Driving execution, emphasizing iterative progress, quality, velocity, and clear communication.
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to developers both within your team and across the engineering organization.
• Coaching individual contributors to unlock their full potential.
• Attracting and retaining top-tier talent in a rapidly growing environment.
• Scaling the specialized engineering team by refining hiring, onboarding, and development processes in collaboration with Engineering Managers

Bonus points for:

• Experience working with AWS services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and IaC tooling, such as Terraform.
• Previous success in managing remote and distributed teams.

United States-based roles only: The annual salary for this role is between $177,000USD and $239,000USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. All employees are owners of 1Password and receive an equity grant as part of their total package. At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
