Senior Manager, Quality Engineering (e-Commerce) - Remote

Our team is actively seeking a motivated and talented Manager, Quality Engineering, who is passionate about building automation and testing solutions, as well as influencing the direction and success of our global eCommerce strategy. This role will manage strategy, planning and execution of automated test processes in order to ensure release quality while increasing our speed to market. This individual will be responsible for leading the creation of innovative test frameworks, managing manual & automated test suites, and training / mentoring QA team members. This position will be responsible for managing QA Automation leads and engineers. They will work with cross functional team members to support key feature development in a B2B industry.
The position reports directly to the VP of Engineering and is a fully remote role.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns all aspects of Quality Engineering strategy and execution for software applications, including automated, manual, functional and regression testing.
  • Manage QA team managers, workflows and team delivery.
  • Produce detailed, comprehensive and well-structured roadmaps.
  • Proactively works across teams and disciplines to implement and align testing automation.
  • Presents approach, progress and result of testing initiatives to management.
  • Deeply understands the product domain, organizational vision and socializes this knowledge to all team members.
  • Provide training and leadership to colleagues - specifically around automation and process improvement.
  • Stay current on new testing tools and capabilities in the market.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years' experience as a QA Manager leading manual and automated testing in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3+ years experience in eCommerce application and interface testing.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle.
  • Strong knowledge of Selenium Web driver with programming language Python.
  • Experience in building automated regression testing capabilities using current technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in reusable test automation design and development.
  • Experience in delivering testing automated testing capabilities for Web services/API testing using SoapUI/Postman.
  • Familiar with one or more of the following techniques/methods: Agile, Scrum, Continuous Integration and delivery.

  • Communication and technical writing skills necessary to produce management reports/requests.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, time management, and task management skills.
  • Motivated to create work environments that allow team members to grow professionally while delivering business results.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion change, influence & drive results in a complex organization.
  • A mind toward innovation in an organization that enables teams to innovate, drive change, and bring revenue to the organization.
