About the role:

We are looking for a motivated Deployment Engineer with a deep sense of ownership to lead and drive all aspects of technical implementation, usage and system maintenance for our cloud connected products (Skydio Dock - Cloud & Remote Ops) for the Southeast Region of the United States.  The position can be located anywhere in the Central or Southeastern United States as long as you have easy access to a major airport to meet the travel requirements. 

As Skydio prepares for a future of dock based vehicles remotely operated through an internet browser, we are seeking candidates with the technical aptitude to support these complex network installations. A successful candidate will have deep knowledge in WiFi and cellular networking, and experience troubleshooting connectivity issues. This individual will become an indispensable bridge between our customers and Skydio’s extremely agile and world class technical teams. This role reports to the Director Enterprise Customer Success and will work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Sales functions to deliver industry leading autonomous solutions that drive value to our customers.

How you’ll make an impact: 

• As Skydio prepares for a future of dock based vehicles remotely operated through an internet browser, we are seeking candidates with the technical aptitude to support these complex network installations.
• Build scalable processes for installation of cloud connected devices on Enterprise grade secure networks
• Communicating with clients to ensure that all of their needs are understood and addressed
• Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests
• Resolving complaints and keeping track of all processes that pertain to the client’s needs
• Acting as the client’s representative to ensure that their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience
• Track and manage all implementation projects with our large enterprise customers for successful delivery of technology and services.
• Quantifying product feedback and briefing executives to drive software and hardware engineering to better fit our customers needs
• Create customer Loyalty through proactive support and account management

What would make you a good fit:

Requirements

• 3+ years experience deploying new technology solutions
• Experience with WiFi networking
• Ability to travel 75% of the time
• Ability to obtain Part 107 certificate

Experience & Skills

• Success in implementing market-leading, scalable SaaS or IoT products and services to enterprise customers
• Proven track record of implementing new technology, agile development and interfacing with technical teams to deliver on customer schedules
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong focus on project management tools and concepts
• Deep knowledge of secure, cloud connected devices and troubleshooting network connectivity issues
• Experience supporting industries related to our critical infrastructure, like utility, energy, transportation, construction
• Experience with commercial Unmanned Aircraft Systems and related software development/deployment
• Work directly with customers through proactive, metrics based engagement
• Work closely with customers and sales to ensure expansion, identifying the vertical specific pain points that could prevent this expansion

Compensation Range:  The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $160,000*.  Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
