We are looking for a hands-on & passionate VP - Engineering & Site Lead to join us in our India office (Chennai). This role will be reporting to our SVP of Engineering based in Palo Alto, CA and will be responsible for all the Engineering efforts related to our flagship Conversational Analytics and Insights Product. This person will also have the additional responsibility as the Site Leader for all Engineering teams based in India (Bangalore, Chennai, Pune & Hyderabad).
Key Responsibilities and Expectations from this role
- Managing, Growing & Leading a distributed high performance engineering team
- Own & oversee Product Architecture, Design, Engineering and QA for 1 or 2 key Products.
- Responsible for overall performance of Engineering teams in India.
- Drive Technology strategy and improvements for the product line
- Understand & Collaborate through the entire product life-cycle from concept to execution while working with Product Management, Data Science, Platform and Delivery teams.
o Hiring and mentoring the best software engineering talent in India
o Hands on leadership and guidance to build a high performance team
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in CS, DS, EE or EC.
- 15+ years of Product Engineering in Enterprise/SAAS/B2B product space
- Has worked with both small and large globally distributed product engineering organizations and has managed and grown large engineering teams (100+).
- Exposure to Cloud Architecture, Scalability and Security is highly desirable.
- Well-versed with Agile SW practices
- Experience in building ML/AI driven products and solutions is a must.
- Strong organizational & leadership skills.
- Start-up experience is desirable.
- Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to build high performance teams.
- Exposure & experience with contemporary technology stacks
