Job Duties:
Maintain highly available services and big data clusters by reviewing health metrics, alerts, and dashboards. Provision, bootstrap, and upgrade big data clusters and other auxiliary services. Design new CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery) pipelines using Docker, Jenkins, and Maven. Create strategies for cost tracking. Implement cost optimizations and anomaly detection based on Datadog metrics, CPU utilization, storage utilization, etc. Design and implement data pipelines based on industry trends and best practices, along with data quality gates, backfill procedures, and data retention policies. Design and implement a full-stack service, allowing the team to visualize the CI/CD pipeline and system configuration parameters. Create self-service runbooks for teams to resolve recurring problems confidently and accurately. Create standardized, security-hardened operating system AMIs with configured software, allowing the AMI to be reused across multiple services and by other teams. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations, monitor networks, and tune hardware performance. Plan, coordinate, and implement security patches to protect proprietary data.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.Two (2) years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Quality Assurance Software Engineer.The two (2) years of experience must have included: Programmatic DevOps operations with Python, CloudFormation, and Terraform; working in a big data platform team in completion of DevOps projects; utilizing AWS (Amazon Web Services) technology.Must have AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification.
